Farm Profile

How to Use This Tool

  1. Choose your crop — corn, wheat, soybean or rice. Each has different safe moisture and test weight.
  2. Enter annual harvest volume — total tonnes you expect to handle in a season.
  3. Add peak daily harvest rate — the maximum tonnage you bring in on the busiest day; this drives dryer sizing.
  4. Set storage duration — how long you need to store grain before sale or use; longer storage means more bin capacity.
  5. Enter harvest & target moisture — the difference drives drying capacity and energy use.
  6. Click Get Recommendation — review the configuration, then talk to an engineer for site-specific refinement.

How It Works

The recommendation engine applies four sizing rules based on industry-standard practice:

  • Total storage = Annual harvest × (1 + duration/12). Longer storage periods require more bin capacity to buffer inventory.
  • Bin count = ceil(total storage / 1,000 t). Splitting capacity across multiple bins allows crop segregation and redundancy.
  • Bin type — flat-bottom above ~5,000 t (commercial scale), hopper-bottom below (faster discharge, seed-quality).
  • Dryer size = peak daily rate × 0.3, rounded to nearest 10 t/h. Sized to clear the daily intake within an 8-hour shift.

The Selection Tool produces an indicative configuration. Final design must account for site layout, utility capacity, climate, automation level and downstream handling — talk to our engineers for a tailored proposal.
